Cinq ans après son EP à l’occasion de la COP21 dans un style « électro documentaire » innovant, JAÏS présente son nouveau projet. Oof défend une ambition artiviste plus musicale.
Son premier single All Of Us Is One sortira le 8 septembre 2020 sur les plateformes. Il précède une série de titres postés avec leur clip tous les trois mois jusqu’à la sortie de l’album en 2021.
Ce morceau rock et groovy semble tout droit sorti d’un western moderne. Le chant, sous forme de mantra, invite à la connexion à soi-même, à l’unité du « Grand Tout » et à s’affranchir des prophètes.
La voix de Russell Brand, extraite d’une interview réalisée par Oof à propos de la conscience psychédélique lors de la Breaking Convention de Londres (2015), renforce cet appel à la symbiose :
“ ‘Cause we are that force. We’ve got our own way back to this force, this source, this power, this consciousness, this energy”.
Plusieurs intervenants ont depuis rejoint le projet : Jie Pop au chant, Boris Kulenovic à la basse (Mei tei Sho, Susheela Raman…) et Laurent Gueirard à la batterie.
Quand le réalisateur Xavier Zahra écoute le titre, il en tombe amoureux au point de réaliser le vidéoclip. Experts en effets spéciaux (Game of Thrones, Gravity), il livre un plan-séquence tripé sur la vie d’un joint lors d’une soirée en 1969. Le clip sortira le 21 septembre 2020 sur Youtube.

Five years after an innovative “electro documentary” EP for the COP21, JAÏS presents his new project, Oof, which defends a more musical artivist ambition.
His single All Of Us Is One will be released on the 8th of September, 2020 on digital platforms. It precedes a series of tracks posted with their music video every three months until the release of the album in 2021.
This first rock and groovy track seems straight out of a modern Western. The vocals, in the form of a mantra, invites you to connect to yourself, to the unity of the « Great All » and to free yourself from prophets.
Russell Brand‘s words, interviewed by Oof about psychedelic consciousness at the Breaking Convention in London (2015), strengthen this invitation to symbiosis :

Several people have since joined the project: Jie Pop on vocals, Boris Kulenovic on bass (Mei tei Sho, Susheela Raman…) and Laurent Gueirard on drums.
When director Xavier Zahra listens to the track, he falls in love with it and decides to direct the film. An expert in special effects (Game of Thrones, Gravity), he delivers a sequence shot which follows the path of a spliff at a party in 1969. The music video will be released on the 21th of September 2020 on Youtube. Get ready !
